The only real requirements for submitting a free story to Free Romance Fiction.com is that you are a published romance author who has published with a royalty paying publisher. This can be everything but a vanity press where you pay to be published, or self-published such as with Lulu for example.
If you do not have a cover, or the ability to put your story into PDF, LIT or HMTL format we can do both for you at no cost to you.
We accept manuscripts in Microsoft Word RTF format, PDF, LIT, and HTML format. Your story can be published elsewhere as long as you retain the rights to it. If it is discovered that another website or publisher has the rights to a story it will be immediately removed from Free Romance Fiction.com. Also, you must be the author of any story that you submit. If it is discovered that you are not the author of the story you submit, the work will immediately be removed from Free Romance Fiction.com.
If you send us a story in Microsoft Word we ask that you format it the following way:
1. Size 12 Times New Romance Font.
2. Double spaced.
3. No page numbers, headers, or footers.
4. Each paragraph with a .5 indent. Using tabs to do this is fine.
If you need a cover, we ask that you provide the following with your submission:
1. Photos that you would like us to use in the cover if you have them. These must be royalty free stock photos, or photos you have taken yourself. We also need to know where they come from so we can credit appropriately.
2. What your vision for the cover is. We don't guarantee that your cover will exactly match your vision, but we will try. You will get one opportunity to make changes once the cover is completed.
